This short animated video introduces key findings from a community survey conducted around Lenin Terrace, Stanley — a council-owned public green space affected by regular flooding. Narrated by “Stanley the Raindrop,” the animation translates research insights into an accessible story for local residents and partners involved in the SuDS+ project.

The video highlights how residents perceive and experience the space, focusing on themes of flooding awareness, social and emotional value, engagement and cultural identity, support for nature-based solutions, and practical barriers to use. It also introduces the role of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) in improving local resilience through green, nature-based approaches.

By combining survey data with creative storytelling, the video aims to make academic research understandable and engaging for a wider audience — emphasising how small, everyday observations from the community can inform urban design, environmental management, and place-based care.
