This blog provides an introduction to a PhD research project exploring whether the changes made by volunteering organisations working in the global South to respond to the Covid-19 pandemic, have transformed approaches to, and understandings of volunteering and development. Taking an organisational focus, it will consider whether and how policies and actions deployed by volunteer-involving organisations during the pandemic have informed longer-term changes to practices, programme design and funding.
