ORW: Octopus publishing: the global primary research record where researchers publish their work in full detail.

Delivered in person as part of Northumbria Open Research Week 2024. Presented Tuesday 19th March 2024.

Octopus is a new publishing platform for scholarly research. It is funded by UKRI – the UK government research funder.

Here researchers can publish all their work for free, in full detail, enabling peer review and quality assessment, gaining credit for what they have done, and allowing the research community to build upon it.

This in-person session will introduce the Octopus system, and have additional time available for you to try adding your own projects to the platform.

This session is of interest to academic, technical, and professional staff and research students at Northumbria and is also open for external booking.
