ASAPbio (Accelerating Science and Publication in biology) is a scientist-driven non-profit working to drive open and innovative communication in the life sciences and we promote the productive use of preprints for research dissemination.
In this session, we will provide an overview of what preprints are and their place within open science. We will explore the recent trends in the use of preprints for science communication within the life sciences, and how they relate to the journal publication process. We will discuss the benefits that preprints bring for researchers as well as things to bear in mind before posting a preprint and share a five-step guide to help researchers have a positive preprinting experience.
