Research report - The PPD of Band 5 Children's Nurses

This research explores the personal and professional development experiences and perceptions of Band 5 Children's Nurses working in the NHS. 15 Band 5 Children’s Nurses were interviewed in online interviews via zoom between February 2021 and August 2022. The 15 participants were employed in four NHS Trusts in the Northeast of England. These participants worked in a range of difference children’s wards in acute NHS settings. A sampling matrix was used to select participants from varied work environments, with varied levels of experience, of varying ages and with differing qualifications.
