The climate crisis and UK – South Asian diasporic environmental action

This preliminary report details a small pilot study, which involved working with UK-based diaspora groups (10), and stakeholders in the South Asian region (7) to explore how diaspora groups are positioned as environmental actors and how they are developing more equitable and just responses to tackling the climate emergency. The report focuses on responses from UK-based diaspora groups and outlines some key themes arising from the research, concluding with some reflections and suggestions for future work.
